INNOVATION SPRINT

for Business

What is Innovation Sprint?

The Innovation Sprints are structured to take place over four hours, once a month on a Saturday. The businesses bring in a problem, niche or general, that focuses on a specific aspect within their business. The idea is to have a problem that is pressing but also can be played around with to develop unique or creative solutions for the organization.

These problems are presented to students from universities across Atlantic Canada, as they form teams and brainstorm different ideas, solutions and developments to resolve these hurdles. Undergrads and Graduates make up the participants, from all different faculties and deliver a range of solutions for you to pick from.

Our Journey so far

Through 2023-2024, we partnered with Easy Platter, Shivani’s Kitchen , Bright Breaks , Starberry Drink Co. and UpBeing to host six Innovation Sprints with over 200 participating students. The businesses walked away with at least three unique ideas each and were able to brainstorm with the students, who offered a fresh perspective on their challenges. We bring in local businesses to help support your growth and development while recruiting students with a diverse set of skills, expertise and levels of experience. Combined with design thinking training and the guidance of mentors, students develop unique solutions for your businesses. Some of the businesses listed have gone on to work with the students outside the scope of Innovation Sprints to bring to life some of the unique and innovative ideas.
