About
This program, a collaboration between Eureka Technologies and Saint Mary’s University, focuses on building a 10.1″ smart mirror. Over six interactive sessions, students will gain hands-on experience with design, 3D printing, and software customization. This program aims to inspire creativity, enhance technical skills, and foster a deeper understanding of STEM concepts. By the end of the course, students will have a fully functional smart mirror, personalized to their preferences, and a comprehensive understanding of the technology behind it.

Overview of the program, introduction to smart mirrors, their uses, and the fundamental STEM concepts involved. Students will explore the components needed for the project and start with the basic setup.
Students will assemble their smart mirrors by plugging in the display to the Single-Board Computer (SBC). They will then use the website MagicMirror to upload the necessary code to the SBC and begin exploring available tools and plugins.
Description: Introduction to 3D printing and its applications. A live demonstration of a 3D printer will be provided, and students will learn how to use TinkerCAD to design custom frames for their smart mirrors.
Description: Students will design their custom frames using TinkerCAD. These designs will be sent for 3D printing, and the printed frames will be brought in for the next session.
Students will assemble their smart mirrors using the 3D printed frames and finalize their customizations. This session will include integrating the chosen plugins and ensuring everything works smoothly.
Students will complete the final testing of their smart mirrors. The session will conclude with a wrap-up celebration, where students can showcase their creations.
